questionnaire was assessed during the WHO/ESCAP
Questionnaire for Disability Question Set Testing
(Pilot test 2009).
In contrast to the pilot testing in 2005, disability questions are not asked due to health problems.
The survey includes the 6 Washington Group questions + selected WHO-DAS questions + further disability questions. Beside disability questions, questions on the impact of impairments or limitations on different daily activities (e.g. working, household, leisure, transportation) are asked.
Questions on the cause of difficulties from the perspective of the interviewee are asked in some of the sections. In the Hearing and Remembering section an evaluation of hearing functions and attention functions from the perspective of the interviewer is performed.
Whenever the distinction between capacity and performance is obvious (seeing, hearing, mobility), the questions are clearly framed (e.g. with the use of glasses) to assess performance and capacity, respectively. In other sections (e.g. learning, communication), the questions are framed without specifying capacity and performance, respectively.
In contrast to other disability or health surveys, possible health conditions are assessed at the end
of the survey!
